Golden Grasses and Sunny Hills | July Photo Journal

Endless sunny days and warm evenings (a little too endless to be honest!) I have loved going out to watch the gnats on still nights, lit up in the late light, looking like gold dust in the air. The fields were full of bleached grasses interspersed with wild flowers under the bluest of skies. We walked a lot on our local hills but this isn’t my favourite time to be in the mountains, they can feel a little bland at times, especially when there aren’t many trees or shrubby areas. But it’s been nice to be out in the early mornings or evening and to have tea and dinner in the warmth.

Dewy Mornings and Abundant Grasses

These are photos from various walks this July. One morning was foggy and dew adorned everything, although it wasn’t the sunrise I’d hoped to see it had it’s own magic. If you haven’t noticed already, I love grasses! And this time of year the grasses are so abundant and the fields look golden, I can't take enough photos of them!
