A Slow Autumn Morning ~ November Photo Journal

November came and went without much eventful happening at all. A lot went on but hardly any walks or opportunities to take photos. And honestly I felt quite uninspired this month… Even though this time of year is one of my favourites; the low light and leaves still clinging to their autumn colours while the weather begins to turn cold.

It’s been a month of illness; I had covid which wiped me out for over a week, my family dog (Binky) had to go for emergency surgery in Bristol for a cancerous mass on her spleen and we found out my dad would be having heart surgery just before Christmas! Amongst all this I’ve hardly found the energy to take my camera out or go for much of a walk. Most of it is over now though, I’m much better, Binky is so well she’s like a puppy again! All we are waiting for is my dads surgery but the outlook is much more hopeful :)

So this months photo journal is a short one. I think I managed one morning out with my camera and that was about it. But that morning was a beautiful one, clear skies and the kind of morning when your breath fogs in the air. The sun rose and cast orange light over everything and made the bracken an even more vibrant rusty colour.

Later on in the morning I photographed willow and hawthorn, their wintery shapes revealed in the absence of leaves and their colours turned soft. It was a beautiful day!
